Dear Friends,
My
earliest memory of a desire to feed the hungry was as a child
watching a television program about hunger. Those visions remained
in me and as a teen I started my first food outreach in my home
church in Greenup, Kentucky. That ministry remains
today. Later, in college, I was elected
president of the Missions Fellowship, and was dubbed a "visionary"
because I challenged our college to think "out of the box" in terms
of how we thought about missions. We had successful campaigns and
programs, and one of the most active seasons of missions in the
college's history. Having served actively in ministry
since 1988, and having been in a church setting, I understand the
challenges of ministry, and yet my heart remains full with vision
for seeing people come to know our heavenly
Father. Now, I want to take Hearts of
Compassion Ministries to a level that will make a real impact in our
community. Please know that what you see in this presentation is
just the beginning. We have future plans for educational and
vocational training programs which will help take individuals &
families toward self-sufficient living.
In addition, there are countless opportunities for one-on-one
ministry. This will come as a result of these very programs.
Many of the people we serve are not believers or simply lost and
without hope. What an opportunity to reach precious lives! We have
an excellent plan to be primarily self-sufficient by 2007
through programs like , which is covered in the presentation.
Raising funds
for the first year is a very
important step in the success of our program. I would be honored if
you would help make this vision a reality and give Hearts of
Compassion Ministries a running start as we begin this effort.
Your investment will make a difference in many
lives. "In Him"
